2012 Volunteer Trip
Well, here I am finalising my packing this morning before I leave to head back to work with all our beautiful people in Tarime for 9 weeks. I will have a full week in Tarime preparing for all our wonderful volunteers before they arrive.
We have a great group of 10 Launceston Church Grammar Students, lead by team leader Allison Bassano, School Principal Stephen Norris and teacher Fiona Wells. 3 parents, Kate Barnett, Julian Von Bibra and Wendy Kerber will be accompanying and working with the team.
Julian will be developing a Rotary International project, “Learn & Grow”, a sustainable agricultural program.
Our medical/community team leaves Australia 16th September for 6 weeks. We have 5 doctors, 5 nurses, psychologist, teacher and a builder as part of this team.
CareforAfrica has developed so much in 7 years since it’s humble beginnings in 2005. It is so rewarding to see the incredible support, commitment and dedication of the fabulous team we have. CareforAfrica is delivering effective, sustainable aid and support to the beautiful people of Tarime, and they so appreciate all that is being done for them…. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all our invaluable committed team.
We are all working together to make a difference.
