Arrival of Care for Africa Medical & Educational Containers to Tarime
The Launceston community collected approximately $300,000 worth of vital educational and medical equipment for Tarime in 2010. Various school communities, in particular The Launceston Church Grammar School (co-ordinated by Allison Bassano), Youngtown Primary (co-ordinated by Wendy Dalton) and Sacred Heart (co-ordinated by Alison Smith) worked particularly hard to allow the fruition of our successful container project.
The medical equipment went to The Tarime Goodwill Foundation Hospital which is run by Dr Hudson Winani.
The educational aids and resources went to many outlying community schools in Tarime, The Tarime Goodwill Foundation Seconday School (which is currently being built by Dr Winani) and to the CareforAfrica Education Resource Centre (which will be built shortly).
